Clash of Clans
Clash of Clans is a free-to-play mobile strategy game by Supercell that was first released for iOS in 2012 and then arrived on Android devices a year later. It is the first entry in the Clash series, which currently has four other entries. They are Clash Royale, Clash Quest, Clash Mini, and Clash Heroes.
Clash of Clans is a combat-based strategy game where players use resources to grow their village using gold, while using Elixir and Dark Elixir to train armies. These armies are then used to battle other players from around the world, or complete the single-player campaign. The Single-player campaign allows players to attack a series of fortified goblin villages, to earn resources which can be spent on upgrading their own areas and clan.
There are also co-operative based, clan-vs-clan events where players work together to defeat other groups of players.
When playing in a clan with others, players can donate troops and resources - as well as watch each other's battles and chat - in real-time, adding a massive online functionality to Clash of Clans. The online features within the game, coupled with the ever-growing amount of users who plan, makes Clash of Clans the type of game that stays on people's phones for quite some time.
